These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the CLT 3D Printing website and services. By using our website or requesting our services, you agree to these terms.

Services

CLT 3D Printing provides 3D printing services including rapid prototyping, small-batch production, and design consultation. All services are provided on a custom-quote basis. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.

Orders and Quotes

Submitting a quote request does not obligate you to place an order. Orders are confirmed only after you approve a formal quote and provide any required payment or deposit. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion.

Consent

By submitting a quote request or contact form on our website, and by checking the consent checkbox provided, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and you consent to CLT 3D Printing contacting you about your inquiry via email, phone, or other methods you provide. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

SMS / Text Message Terms of Service

By providing your mobile phone number on our quote request form and checking the SMS consent checkbox, you expressly agree to receive recurring transactional and service-related text messages from CLT 3D Printing at the mobile number you provided. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of any purchase, quote, or service.

• Program description: Service messages tied to your active quote or order — quote confirmations, status updates, file approval requests, deposit and payment reminders, and order completion notifications. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS.
• Frequency: Message frequency varies based on the activity of your project.
• Cost: Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier plan. CLT 3D Printing does not charge for SMS messages.
• To cancel: Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt back in.
• For help: Reply HELP, or contact us at (980) 892-5833 or [email protected].
• Carriers: Supported on all major U.S. wireless carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Eligibility: SMS service is available only to residents of the United States who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your state). You must be the account holder of the mobile phone number provided, or have authorization from the account holder, to opt in.
• Privacy: Our handling of your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in information is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not share, sell, or rent your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
• Modifications: We may modify or terminate this SMS program at any time. We will provide notice of material changes through this page or by SMS where reasonable. Your continued participation after a change constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Pricing and Payment

All prices are quoted in US dollars and are subject to change based on material costs, project complexity, and timeline requirements. Payment terms will be specified in your quote. Rush orders may incur additional fees.

Intellectual Property

You retain all intellectual property rights to your designs and files. By submitting files to CLT 3D Printing, you grant us a limited license to use those files solely for the purpose of producing your order. We will not reproduce, distribute, or use your designs for any other purpose without your written consent.

File Uploads

When you upload design files (STL, STEP, OBJ, 3MF, or other formats) through our quote request form, those files are stored securely on Cloudflare R2 cloud storage. Files are associated with your email address and are retained for the purpose of preparing and fulfilling your quote. We do not share your uploaded files with any third parties except as necessary to produce your order. You may request deletion of your uploaded files at any time by contacting us.

Confidentiality

We treat all client project details and design files as confidential. We are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) upon request. Please contact us before submitting sensitive files if you require an NDA to be in place first.

Quality and Tolerances

We strive for the highest quality in all our work. Standard dimensional tolerances are ±0.2mm unless otherwise specified in your quote. FDM 3D printing produces visible layer lines; surface finish expectations should be discussed during the quoting process. We will inform you of any anticipated deviations before production begins.

3D printing materials have specific environmental limitations that may affect part performance. Temperature resistance, UV stability, and chemical compatibility vary by material. PLA parts are not suitable for high-heat or outdoor applications. Most materials will degrade with prolonged UV exposure unless specifically treated. Chemical compatibility should be confirmed before exposing parts to solvents or chemicals. We will advise on material selection based on your intended application during the quoting process.

Warranty and Liability

We warrant that all parts will be produced according to the agreed-upon specifications. If a part does not meet the specifications outlined in your approved quote, we will reprint it at no additional cost. Our total liability is limited to the cost of the order in question. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages arising from the use of our parts.

3D-printed parts exhibit anisotropic strength characteristics and are generally weaker along layer boundaries than across them. Clients are responsible for determining suitability for load-bearing and safety-critical applications. Parts are not warranted for use beyond their rated material properties, including temperature, UV exposure, and chemical resistance limits.

Cancellations and Refunds

Orders may be cancelled before production begins for a full refund. Once production has started, cancellations are subject to a fee based on work completed. Completed orders that meet the approved specifications are not eligible for refund.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website and services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
