What We Offer

Restoration Parts Without the Wait

Discontinued Part Replacement

Recreate parts that manufacturers no longer produce -- knobs, clips, bezels, brackets, and trim pieces.

Reverse Engineering

Send us a broken or worn original and we'll digitize and reproduce it with modern materials.

Custom Fabrication

One-off brackets, adapters, and mounting solutions for resto-mod builds and custom projects.

How It Works

From Broken Original to Perfect Replacement

1

Send the Part or Description

Ship the original part, send photos with measurements, or bring it to our Charlotte shop.

2

Digitize & Design

We 3D scan or manually measure the part and create a precise CAD model.

3

Material Selection

ABS for under-hood heat, ASA for UV exposure, Nylon for mechanical stress.

4

Print & Fit

Parts printed, test-fit verified, and finished to match the original.

Materials & Specs

Automotive-Grade Materials for Real-World Conditions

ABS

Heat-resistant up to 100C. The go-to material for under-hood components, engine bay brackets, and parts exposed to high temperatures.

ASA

UV-stable for exterior applications. Won't yellow, crack, or degrade from sun exposure -- ideal for exterior trim and bezels.

Nylon

High mechanical strength and wear resistance. Perfect for clips, hinges, gears, and any part under continuous mechanical stress.

PETG

Versatile general-use material with good impact resistance. Great for interior trim, dashboard components, and non-heat-critical parts.

Case Study

1967 Camaro Dashboard Vent Bezels

Challenge

A Lake Norman classic car enthusiast restoring a 1967 Camaro needed dashboard vent bezels -- parts that run $400+ when found at swap meets, and the original was cracked and incomplete.

Solution

CLT 3D Printing reverse-engineered the bezel from the damaged original, created a precise CAD model, and printed the parts in ASA for heat and UV resistance. Surface finishing matched the original texture.

Result

Four bezels delivered for $120 total -- a fraction of the swap meet price. Fit was indistinguishable from the original factory part. The owner has since ordered additional trim pieces for the same restoration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you make a part that is no longer manufactured?

Yes. We recreate discontinued parts such as knobs, clips, bezels, brackets, and trim pieces by reverse engineering an original, or from photos with measurements.

Do I need to send you the original part?

It helps but is not required. You can ship the original, send photos with measurements, or arrange a local drop-off in Charlotte. We measure or scan the part and build a precise CAD model.

Will a 3D printed part hold up in the engine bay?

ABS is heat resistant up to about 100°C and works for many under-hood brackets and components. ASA is UV stable for exterior trim and will not yellow or crack in the sun. Parts that sit near exhaust or turbo heat need metal, not plastic.

Are 3D printed parts suitable for brakes, steering, or suspension?

No. 3D printed plastic parts are not a substitute for safety-critical components such as brakes, steering, or suspension, and our terms make suitability for load-bearing and safety-critical use the customer's responsibility. Our restoration work focuses on trim, interior, cosmetic, and non-structural mechanical parts.

How much does a reproduction part cost?

Cost depends on the part's size, material, and how much design work it needs. Send photos or the part for a free quote; we respond within one business day.
